FAITH AND HOPE
Faith & Hope Cover.jpeg

Christine Chamberlain and Camden Writers worked with my father, David Putnam, over a three-year period to produce a three-volume personal history. Christine had access to a voluminous family and business archive from which to draw to capture the voice and ethos of four generations. The completed project included my father's reflection on the origins of our family business, beginning with the birth of my great-grandfather in 1865 and ending with his own clear statement of values at the end of his life.

It is a remarkable achievement to have so sensitively and successfully memorialized his views and his legacy. Christine managed the pace of the project and the relationship with my father and his large family with great care and assurance, for which we will forever remain grateful.

Faith & Hope Spines 3 Generations.jpg

Faith and Hope

In three volumes, we provided the narrative of the roots and subsequent growth of this family business in New Hampshire and the people who played a role in its success. These volumes cover three generations and a fourth volume, now in production, carries the story forward through the sale of the company and provides insights into what turning over the business has meant to the family.

A large part of the story is a close look at the way in which third generation David Putnam developed the company and his theories on business and stewardship in the community as well as the corporation.
